Proposal...

As part of this final project it is necessary to be ready to jump straight into my career as an illustrator. Already have i been a key member of HGT collective to promote myself and involve myself in projects that have gained me knowledge of this. However to push this to new levels we have taken on a larger project to create and sell artwork at Volksfest Festival. This is an amazing opportunity to get the experience in the illustration i would love to be involved in. I feel that to take full advantage of this i would need to create a bulk of artwork to sell and use as a promotion. Also as a side project at the festival and as an interactive element to our stall i want to have a 'Kids Corner' where anyone can be apart of our area by drawing with me and others. This is something i have considered as a career path as teaching and giving kids the confidence to draw is challenging but also fun. Meetings and preparation will be running alongside my projects and hopefully will intertwine with the work i produce.

Outcome One ...

I intend on creating merchandise such as prints and T-shirts. This would be used for the festival as a selling point to my style and as a way of making money. The subject i intend to base these drawings will be around a style that has been developed from the first days of college. I would like to say that the influences and inspiration for these series of drawings will come from other illustrators and artwork however i intend to just go with my imagination and draw the things i have always wanted to draw. 

To kick start my imagination i have chosen to develop a theme of 'what if worlds'. So for example what if mammals did not exist and only plant life and sea creatures where the dominant life form. From this i intend to create a series of 4 Developed images that use colour in some form, as this is challenging to me. Also from one of those prints to develop into a T-shirt. I have a budget of £100 for this so would need to source the right costings for these outcome.

Outcome two...

As part of our pitch for Volksfest it is essential that the overall look of the stall is at its best, also as part of the interaction to our proposed stall i intend to factor in a section for kids to draw in. Therefore i intend to create a decoration using the drawings i have created above as a means of promotion to entice people into our stall. The most direct way i see this happening would be to cut out shapes of trees, mountains and clouds to peg into the ground. This imagery  would compliment the work that is already there. Also i intend to create a fake wall alongside the live drawings for the kids to feel involved, as i can see that bringing in activities would make the stall look busy and also the parents waiting could want to buy merchandise.

Outcome Three...
Further to this i know the attention exhibitions give as a means of promotion. The summer exhibition and the possibility of New designers is promotion i cannot miss, and to create something elaborate would be great as a source of capturing the public eye to show my style and what i can create. So therefore i intend, as an element of surprise, to create a 3D illustration of one of my characters. I feel that wood is a material i have worked well with in previous project and is something i wish to continue. The size and shape is something i will need to develop however i feel that through a development of drawings this will come with time...
